In pasture, atop low ridge to S of River Lee. Heavily overgrown circular area (diam. 24m) defined by earthen bank (H 0.4m) with external fosse (max. D 1.1m). Bank severely eroded, almost completely levelled in parts. No visible surface trace of limekiln marked beside NW bank on 1842 OS 6-inch map. Possible souterrain (CO072-107002-) in interior. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
