What is recorded here

Rectangular 2-storey house of early/mid-19th-century appearance. Entrance front (NE) of 5 bays; central door with engaged Corinthian columns supporting fanlight. Central rectangular 1st-floor window with Neo-Perpendicular tracery. Side elevations 2 bays deep. Central shallow projection to rear with large round-headed window. Hipped roof with two off-centre chimneys. Forest House, shown on 1842 OS 6-inch map c. 700m to NNW, no longer survives. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
