On S side of road, overgrown remains of limekiln partially hewn out of natural rock. Front (H 4m; Wth 6m) has semicircular arched recess (H 1.5m) cut out of sandstone bedrock. Upper portion stone-built and in poor repair, heavily overgrown. Shown on 1842 OS 6-inch map. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
