One of two wells (CO072-028001-) on either side of narrow stream valley. Overgrown and inaccessible. Rarely used when visited by Hartnett (1939, 223), who noted 'small spring well, covered, except for a small opening by a horizontal slab'. Above this was a shelf, formed by second slab, on which votive offerings were placed. Crosses deeply incised on both slabs. Rounds were made at both wells on three successive Sundays. Local tradition that mass was celebrated here in Penal days.
