In pasture, on gentle S-facing slope, overlooking River Lee to S and Sullane River to E. Oval saucer-shaped area (57.5m NE-SW; 50.6m ESE-WNW) defined by earthen bank (H 0.9m) to NW; scarp (max. H 1.7m) elsewhere with slight internal lip. Scarp stone-faced to NE. Edge of enclosure planted with coniferous trees. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
