In elevated position overlooking valley of Glenbower river to W and S; in vicinity of Aghadoe House (CO066-03803-). No visible surface trace though stones from castle may be incorporated into nearby buildings. Sheela-na-gig (CO066-03802-) lying nearby probably from castle; built by the De Capel or Supple family (Healy 1988, 90).
