At E end of Mogeely village, on N side of road; rectangular graveyard (c. 80m ENE-WSW; c. 50m NNE-SSW). Interior of enclosure raised above surrounding area. At centre, ruins of Mogeely parish church (CO066-03402-). Graveyard full of 18th and 19th century headstones, the earliest dating from 1756 (Coleman 1907-9d). Still in use; recent extension to W. Immediately outside graveyard to NW stood T-shaped Catholic church, shown on 1842 OS 6-inch map, described by Coleman (ibid) as 'one of the ugly, old-fashioned chapels'; no trace survives, replaced by recent church on S side of village.
