On top of a hill in undulating hilly terrain, a pit-burial was uncovered during archaeological monitoring on the N8 Glanmire-Watergrasshill Bypass. The burial had been heavily truncated and was contained within a pottery vessel, the base of which was found in situ. Analysis of the bones found that they represented the remains of one adult. A possible Bronze Age house (CO064-167----) is located 40m to the S and two pit-burials (CO064-169----; CO064-166----) are located 260m to the N and S, respectively.
