On a S-facing slope in undulating hilly terrain. A pit-burial burial was uncovered during archaeological monitoring on the N8 Glanmire-Watergrasshill Bypass. The burial had been heavily truncated as a result of agricultural activity. It was contained within a large inverted urn and was apparently accompanied by a smaller, finely decorated vase. Two pieces of flint were found within the burial deposit. Analysis of the bones found that they represented the remains of one adult. A similar burial (CO064-168----) is located 260m to the N and a possible Bronze Age house (CO064-167----) is located 210m to the N. (Sherlock 2003b, 45; 2005b, 51, 59)
