In pasture, atop ridge on N-facing slope. Shown on 1842 OS 6-inch map as circular enclosure (diam. c. 10m). Levelled; no visible surface trace. According to Power (1923, 176) 'The O.M. records no fewer than six lioses; but all of these, with two exceptions....have disappeared'. Circular enclosure (CO064-006---) c. 200m to NE. Levelled ringfort (CO064-008---) c. 220m to SE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 2: East and South Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1994). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
