Straddling steep glen and upper millpond of Blarney river at Monard. Substantial stone railway viaduct, cut stone with prominent voussoirs; seven arches, with piers decreasing in height up side of valley. Built for Great Southern and Western Railway by William Dargan in 1849 (Creedon 1985, 6).
