In pasture, on crest of hill. Large circular enclosure (diam. c. 70m); defined N->SSE by E side of subrectangular enclosure (9180); SSE->WNW by faint cropmark visible in aerial photograph (CASAP). Subrectangular enclosure (9180) and possible souterrain (9052) in E half; site of burial ground (9342) and possible burial (9378) in W half. According to Hartnett (1939, 192), field and enclosure (9180) both known as 'Kill'. Townland name translates 'Cill Chuilinn - St. Cuileann's Church' (O'Donoghue 1986, 283) and glen immediately to W of site named 'Glennakilla' on OS 6-inch maps.
