In pasture, atop hill. Circular area (diam. 29m) defined by earthen bank (H 1.2m), stone-faced in parts. Break (Wth c. 2m) in bank to ESE. Field boundary which extended N from enclosure removed. 'Some drains 9in wide and 12in deep (part of recent drainage system) cut across the interior' (Hartnett 1939, 271); no visible surface trace. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
