Removed by antiquarian John Windele to the collection of the Royal Cork Institution, having served time 'as a lintel for the door of a pig-stye' (Windele 1849-51, 143). The stone is currently on permanent display in the Stone Corridor, University College Cork (for details see CO074-143----). According to Windele's source, the stone formed part of a stone circle in 'Gleann-na-g-cloch' which 'was not standing when I visited the place' (ibid.). There is no other record of a stone circle in Glenaglogh North or South. Hartnett (PJH) thought Windele's description 'near the eastern foot of Muskerry mountain' (ibid.) might locate the site in Glenaglogh North. Macalister (1945, 108-9, no. 107) and McManus (2004, 21, no. 22) read the inscription as CUNAGUSSOS MA[... . (Power et al. 1997, no. 7963)
