In pasture, c. 30m N of pond. Circular, slightly raised platform (diam. 11m) enclosed by fosse (D 0.5m; Wth 2m) with external earthen bank (H 0.4m). Break in bank to S. Stones protruding above surface of interior; according to Hartnett (1939, 84), may be remains of cist-like structure. Site planted with coniferous trees. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
