Not shown on 1842 OS 6-inch map. In rough grazing, on slight S-facing slope. Stone (H 2.4m; 1.2m x 0.6m) is subrectangular in plan, long axis NE-SW. Possible standing stone (6964) marked on 1842 OS 6-inch map in adjoining field to W may have been marked by mistake as location for this stone.
