Not shown on 1842 OS 6-inch map; marked 'Gallauns', with second stone to SSE, on 1903 OS 6-inch map. In field fence, on S side of laneway. Ringfort (8575) c. 15m to SW. Stone (H 1.75m; 1.02m x 0.4m) is subrectangular in plan, long axis NE-SW.
