In pasture, on SSE-facing slope, overlooking stream with moorland and bog beyond. Circular area (26m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 0.6m), heavily overgrown ESE->W. Break in bank to SE (Wth 2.6m); minor gaps to WNW, NW and E. Interior planted with coniferous trees; field boundary crosses N half on E-W axis. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
