Named 'Graveyard for Children' and 'Children's Burial Gd.' on 1842 and 1903 OS 6-inch maps respectively. Site forms NE quadrant of possible early ecclesiastical enclosure (9205). Roughly square area (c. 20m N-S; c. 20m E-W) enclosed by low stone wall. Interior uneven, sloping down to SE and planted with conifers. On E side, rectangular setting of 5 upright slabs, open to E; on W side, two upright stones, long axis N-S; in SW corner, bullaun stone (9226). Second bullaun stone (9227) c. 30m S of burial ground. Rounds made here on St. Gobnait's day. Stone slab (2m x 0.9m) lying in verge of road c. 350m to ESE is locally associated with St. Gobnait, who is said to have prayed on this spot.
