What is recorded here

In tillage on natural terrace looking W over forestry plantation; N to Garryduff. Circular area (23m N-S; 22.6m E-W) enclosed by overgrown earthen bank (H 0.7m); fosse (max. D 0.25m); traces of possible outer bank (H 0.4m). Gap in bank to W. Interior overgrown, slopes gently to W; raised platform to E. Power (1918, 227) refers to "one lios" in townland, "double-ramparted". The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 2: East and South Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1994). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
