Recorded as stratified grit stone (H 3ft 10in; 1ft 1in x 9in), this is one of 15 ogham stones (CO055-007002-; CO055-007005- - CO055-007018-) found covering a souterrain (CO055-007003-). The stone is currently on permanent display in the Stone Corridor, University College Cork (for details see CO074-155----). The inscription is boldly pocked, on diametrically opposed angles. It was read by Macalister (1945, 86, no. 86) and McManus (2004, 19, no. 18.) as CLIUCOANAS MAQI MAQI-TRENI. (Power et al. 1994, no. 4219)
