St Lassers Church (Site of) — Killasseragh

In pasture, on S-facing slope. Two parallel flat-topped stones (axis NW-SE) stand 1.8m apart (NE stone: H 1.4m; 0.7m x 0.3m; SW stone: H 1.3m; 0.9m x 0.4m). Displaced slab (L 2.4m; 2.1m x 0.3m) leans against upright stones on SW side. Running SW for c. 8m towards field fence low mound or bank (Wth c.4m; H c. 0.4m) with line of low upright stones along NW and SE edges. This may be feature referred to by Franklin (1897, 383) as 'avenue of stones'; he considered the site to be remains of 'Cromlech' but more probably remains of enclosure entrance. The attachment of church name (CO054-056002-) to site on OS 6-inch map may be cartographic error and more likely refers to enclosure c. 3000m to NNE (CO054-057001-).
