In pasture on crest of ridge with a view to N and E. Circular raised area (25.6m N-S; 25.4m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (ext. H 1.5m; int. H 0.8m); gap to N, larger gap to E. Interior saucer-shaped. Possible souterrain (CO054-131---) inside E entrance. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 2: East and South Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1994). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
