In pasture on level ground below crest of ridge; good view to NW. Roughly circular area (32m N-S; 29m E-W) defined by overgrown earthen bank (H 1.5m); fosse WNW->NNW (D 0.3m). Bank broken to WSW; disturbed to N, probable site of entrance; dry-stone walling along line to SW. Interior slopes gently to NW; probable souterrain (CO054-130---) just within entrance. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 2: East and South Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1994).
