In pasture, on crest low ridge; commands view to N, E and S. Circular area (35m N-S; 35m E-W) defined by earthen bank (H 1.5m); intervening fosse; outer bank (H 1.75m); incline into outer bank to S, W and E probably traces outer fosse. Banks earthen, scrub-covered; outer bank stone-faced externally to N. Entrance through both banks (Wth 5m) to S. Interior covered with dumps of spoil. Second bivallate ringfort (CO053-053---) c. 20m to NE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
