In pasture on crest of low ridge; good view to W, N and E. Circular area (45.3m N-S; 43.7m E-W) defined by inner bank (H 1.75m); intervening fosse; outer bank (H c. 1m); slight traces possible outer fosse to W. Banks earthen, scrub covered; outer bank stone-faced in parts. Entrance to NNE through inner (Wth 5m) and outer (Wth 4m) banks; slight traces causeway. Cattle gap to W. Interior level apart from dumped spoil. Second bivallate ringfort (CO053-054---) c. 20m to SE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
