In level area of pasture, sloping away to N, E and W. Roughly square area (45m E-W; 47m N-S) defined by earthen bank (max. int. H 2.25m). Trace of fosse on N side. Gap (Wth 3.5m) midway along N bank; causeway visible. According to Power (1916, 16) 'The square lios was stone-lined...'.
