What is recorded here

In pasture, on NE-facing slope; extensive view to N and E. River Flesk flows c. 200m to NE. Roughly circular raised area (27m N-S; 31m E-W) defined by scarp (H 2.25m), crowned SW->NW by earthen bank (H 1.4m); intervening fosse; outer bank (ext. H 1.9m); outer fosse traceable E->WNW (D 1m). Terrace along face of scarp N->NE. To SSE, slope down from interior to slight causeway over inner fosse; gap (Wth 7.2m) in outer bank. Possible souterrain (CO053-075---) just visible inside entrance to E. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
