In pasture on NNE-facing slope; river Flesk flows c. 150m to N. Circular area (34m N-S; 31m E-W) defined by earthen bank (H 1.8m), best preserved to S; slope inclining into bank to N, W and S probably indicates fosse, most obvious between field fence and bank E->SW. Entrance (Wth 5.9m) to NNE, sloping to exterior; bank lower to either side. Low rise 5.3m inside bank NNE->ESE. Interior slopes gently to NE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 2: East and South Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1994).
