What is recorded here

In rough grazing land, on E-facing slope. Depicted on 1842 OS 6-inch map as circular area (diam. c. 32m) defined by hachured bank SSE->NNW and by broken line elsewhere. Arc (C 25m) formed by earthen bank (H 1.4m) survives SW->NW, with heavily overgrown fosse on W side. Low rise along line of levelled bank to N. Interior slightly raised. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
