What is recorded here

In pasture, c. 25m E of ringfort (CO050-053001-). Depicted as pair of standing stones and named 'Galláin' on 1939 OS 6-inch map. Two parallel stones (H 1.23m; 0.4m x 0.37m: H 0.68m; 1m x 0.35m) stand close together: long axes NE-SW. Hartnett (PJH) recorded only one stone (H 21/2ft). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
