What is recorded here

In rough grazing, on W bank of River Laney, surrounded by rugged hills. Roughly circular area (28m E-W; 26m N-S) defined by earthen bank (max. int. H 1.6m; ext. H 1.3m) WNW->SE; scarp (H c. 2.3m) with slight internal lip (H 0.1m) elsewhere. Entrance (Wth 3.4m) to SSE; stones at base of bank on E side may be remains of facing. Interior raised on SW side to compensate for hillslope; crossed by cultivation ridges on E-W axis. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
