In cliff-edge fort (CO049-006001-). Opening '18in wide and 12in high' noted by Hartnett (1939, 179) extending 'for about 10ft eastwards into cliff face.'Side walls are of dry masonry and incline towards the top, the roof being formed of flat slabs' (ibid.). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
