What is recorded here

A description of this anomalous stone group, which was described by Condon (1916, 157) as being 33ft in diameter and consisting of 7 stones, is included in the inventory entry (no. 7913) for the similar anomalous stone group (CO049-013----). It is 20 yards to the S of the similar anomalous stone group (CO049-013----) but could not be located during a site inspection in 1983. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 14 January 2009
