In pasture, on W-facing slope. Arc (C 17.6m) formed by low earthen bank (int. H 0.6m; ext. H 0.8m) S->N; abutting field fence to E. Depression (D 0.5m) outside bank on NNW side may be remains of fosse. Interior waterlogged; stream from underground drain flows through S half. Known locally as 'fort'. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
