In pasture, atop N-S ridge. Circular, slightly raised area (28m E-W; 26m N-S) defined by earthen bank (H 0.7m) S->WSW; stone wall WSW->NNW; low scarp topped by stone wall NNW->S. Large boulders dumped on wall, possibly as result of reclamation. Interior slopes gently down to ESE; slab (1m X 1m) lies in N half with smaller stones nearby; possible souterrain (CO048-162---). Standing stones (6628; 6629) formerly stood c. 50m to W and S of enclosure, respectively. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
