What is recorded here

In mountainous moorland, on high shelf looking N along valley. Circular area (diam. 20m) enclosed by ruinous remains of stone wall (H 0.4m) topped by stone field fence. Possible outer wall (H 0.3m) with shallow intervening fosse W->E. Interior raised slightly on N side to compensate for downslope. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
