In pasture, on gentle W-facing slope, overlooking stream valley to W. Circular area (30m N-S; 29m E-W) defined by low, eroded earthen bank (H 1m) WNW->SW; stone-faced scarp (H 1.5m) with slight internal lip SW->WNW, incorporated into field fence system. Gap (Wth 3m) in bank to S. Hole (diam. 1.5m; D 1.5m), dug immediately outside scarp to SW. Low earth and stone bank (L c. 20m; H 0.5m), running NE-SW, extends across interior from NE bank; ground lower on NW side. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
