In waterlogged mountain pasture, adjacent to spring. Horseshoe-shaped mound of burnt material (11.2m N-S; 7.1m E-W; H 0.55m); opening (Wth 3.1m) faces WSW. Two other fulachta fiadh (CO047-028---; CO047-027---) to N. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 14 January 2009
