Symbols on Bateman map (1716-1717, no. 57) for four evenly spaced ringforts just S of N townland boundary; most easterly one (CO045-073---) depicted on 1842 OS 6-inch map. An inspection of the area in October 2000 noted the following: In pasture, on high ground which slopes gently to the S. A levelled circular area (diam. 28m) defined by a low bank (int. H 0.4m) is visible in this area. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 2: East and South Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1994).
