What is recorded here

In pasture, on a high plateau overlooking the valley of the river Bride. Indicated as a circular enclosure, named 'Danish Fort', on a 1773-4 map (no. 6) by B. Scalé (NLI MSS 7216-18). It is not visible at ground level. A rath (CO045-029----), similarly depicted on the Scalé map, is located 120m to the WNW and has an associated possible souterrain (CO045-128----).
