A spread (11.5m N-S; 8m E-W) of heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil was noted c. 4.5m W of a stream during archaeological monitoring in advance of the construction of the N8 Rathcormac-Fermoy Bypass (Dunne 2007a, 55-6).
