Excavated in 2003 in advance of the construction of the N8 Rathcormac-Fermoy Bypass. A roughly oval spread (0.56m x 1.22m; D 0.09m) of compact black-brown sandy silt containing frequent flecks of charcoal with small broken heat-shattered angular stones and larger heavy angular stones (pers. comm. Tara O'Neill). The excavator suggested that this spread may be associated with another possible burnt mound (CO044-070----) c. 70m to the NW and outside of the road take. (O'Neill 2006f, 57)
