Discovered in 2002 and subsequently excavated in 2003 in advance of the construction of the N8 Rathcormac-Fermoy Bypass. Excavation revealed an isolated pit of unknown date and a shallow charcoal spread which, according to the excavator (O'Neill, 75), was apparently unassociated. Both features were isolated and had no apparent function. A worked stone implement of unknown date or function was discovered close to the charcoal spread. (O'Neill 2006c, 75-6)
