Discovered in 2002 during archaeological testing in advance of the construction of the N8 Rathcormac-Fermoy Bypass. Excavation in 2003 revealed three shallow pits none of which produced any finds. A sherd of possible Neolithic pottery was discovered during topsoil-stripping of the area. (Quinn 2006b, 70) The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
