What is recorded here

On steep S-facing slope. Oval basin (ciam. c. 1m) surrounded by low curving stone wall. Access through doorway, in gable-shaped facade; iron cross atop; recess on inside of doorway contains offerings. Wooden box on rear gable wall. According to Power (1923, 172), devotions paid here on August 24th. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
