What is recorded here

In pasture, on N-facing slope, c. 150m S of Coom river. Ringfort (CO043-01101-) to N of river. Sub-circular area (39m N-S; 29.9m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 2.2m), low to N; slight traces of fosse to E. Field fence runs parallel to S bank; intervening gap (Wth 3.3m), now cattle track, possibly remains of fosse. Interior overgrown to W, raised to N to compensate for slope. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 2: East and South Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1994).
