Condon (1916, 65-66, no. 21) noted stone 'circle (?) [sic] less than one mile from the church at Burnfort, and ... quite close to the Leapford stream'. Exact location unknown. He (ibid.) described a raised area c. 12 yards in diameter, with an uneven surface, partially enclosed by an arc of five stones along S perimeter; two highest stones (A and B) stood 46in apart: A measured '36 inches high, 22 inches by 18 inches' and was 15 inches from E: B was '30 inches high, 27 inches by 12 inches' and was 12 inches from C: C was '18 inches high, 40 inches by 2 inches' and was 15 inches from D: D was level with ground surface and 24 inches long: E was ' 27 inches high, 25 inches by 10 inches'. Condon's plan (ibid. fig. 4) shows position of stones and 9 'low mounds' in interior.
