In N half of ringfort (CO041-11801-), c. 10m inside bank. Discovered in 1975 when roof collapsed during ploughing; investigated by Ann Lynch and Mary Cahill (UCC). Opening (1m x 0.52m) through roof allowed access to part of chamber (L c. 2.5m; Wth c. 1.5m; long axis NW-SE); chamber rock-cut at SE end, earth-cut elsewhere; appeared to extend in NNE direction, possibly extending under bank of ringfort. Collapsed earth prevented further investigation. Subsequently backfilled. (McCarthy 1977, 250)
