In pasture, on S-facing slope. Circular area (25m N-S; 25m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.6m); intervening fosse and outer earthen bank (H 0.85m) survives to N and NE->SE. To N, outer bank incorporated into field fence system. Immediately outside second bank to E is field boundary running N-S. Interior raised 1.1m on S side to compensate for hillslope. To S, bank top level with interior for c. 1m; used as entrance. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
